Checking Register Mark Sensor Responsiveness

- Responsiveness cannot be checked accurately by moving the head and sheet manually. Be sure to check the register mark sensor responsiveness using the following procedure:
- For information on creating register marks, refer to Creating Register Marks.
- The pointer offset set using this operation will not be reset by [SETUP RESET].
- Enable the buzzer sound. (SET UP > [BUZZER]) The detection confirmation sound will not sound if the buzzer sound is disabled.
- Attach a pen.
- Load a sheet on which register marks are printed.

- Press
on the local mode screen.
- The machine switches to jog mode.
- Use
to move the pen nib close to the center of the register mark detection position.
- Register mark detection should be performed at a position at least 1 mm from the register mark.

- Press the [END] key to exit jog mode.
- The system returns to local mode.
- Press the [FUNCTION] key.
- Use
to select [MARK sensor], then press the [ENTER/HOLD] key.
- Check to confirm that [Sensor Check] is displayed, then press the [ENTER/HOLD] key.
- Set the register mark detection conditions.
- The register mark detection conditions set are retained even when the power is turned off.
- Press the [ENTER/HOLD] to start detection.
- The machine automatically detects the lines in the X and Y directions (automatic detection operation: plus X direction > minus X direction > plus Y direction > minus Y direction).
- A buzzer sounds each time a line is detected (four buzzers in all). If any of the buzzers fails to sound, refer to the following:
