Reading Range of Register Marks

This machine can detect register marks in the range shown in the following figure. If the margin is small, the edge of the sheet may be incorrectly identified as a register mark.

If expand is disabled, set the distance between the register mark and the inside of the pinch roller to at least 5 mm for Type 1 register marks and at least the length of the register marks for Type 2 marks.

When using long sheets, the sheet may meander, which reduces the distance between the register marks and inside of the pinch roller. Larger margins are recommended when using long sheets.
